"My students inspire me by their relentless desire and ability to learn."

I was born in Michigan and had my first passport before my first birthday! My early childhood and kindergarten year were spent in Germany, my primary years saw me traveling through the Midwest, and my intermediate schooling saw me settled in the Philadelphia area.

I MOVED TO LAKE HAVASU BECAUSE

Both sets of my grandparents came to Lake Havasu when Mr. McCulloch was flying people out in the 60's. My parents met here in the 70's after being introduced to my mom by my dad's father.

Our little city is the closest thing I have to a hometown. When I watch the sun set behind our mountains, hear the wind move through the palm trees, feel the heat on my skin, I feel a connection knowing that several generations of my family have experienced the same beauty.

PERSONAL INTERESTS AND/OR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

I love training my dogs!

I WAS INSPIRED TO BE A TEACHER BECAUSE

Mrs. Peyser inspired me to be a teacher because the connection she made to her students was inspiring and her love of teaching was infectious...I caught the bug!

Dream classroom item: I dream of a beautifully organized listening station for books on cd

Books on CD are crucial to improving student vocabulary and comprehension, help increase small group cooperation, and provide a quiet area to foster a love of reading.
