"My students inspire me to make their learning meaningful to them. I love seeing the new connections and deeper understandings that happen throughout the year."
I am originally from
Upstate New York, and graduated with my teaching degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
I MOVED TO LAKE HAVASU BECAUSE
I have family in town, and I was ready to escape the snowy and cold winters!
The 2017-2018 school year will be my 22nd year of teaching--WOW!
PERSONAL INTERESTS AND/OR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
I have danced classical ballet for most of my life, and I continue to do so as often as I can. Our whole family is very involved in Grace Arts Live theater, and we absolutely love it. I have been involved in our local Science Olympiad and Camp Invention programs as well. When I have time, I love to read and spend time with my family.
I WAS INSPIRED TO BE A TEACHER BECAUSE
My parents are both teachers, and I have always naturally gravitated towards helping others learn and understand new information. I also had some very wonderful teachers along the way in my own schooling, for whom I am very thankful.
Dream classroom item:
My #1 need is these clear plastic organizers that I would love to have at each group's lab table, for easy access to all of our often-used supplies.
